Triumph Golf Renovates The Golf Club at Longwood with planned reopening in December 2023
The Longwood Golf Club and The Harris County Flood Control District (HCFCD) have reached an agreement for HCFCD to purchase approximately 80 acres of golf course property to both improve retention and widen Little Cypress Creek. This will reduce or alleviate much of the flooding we have experienced in the general Longwood area over the past several years. Longwood Golf Course has been negotiating with HCFCD for the past six years to substantially improve flood mitigation within the Longwood Community.
The execution of this agreement will result in substantial changes at the Longwood Golf Club. We suspended operations of the Longwood Golf Club on Monday, April 17, 2023, while we renovate the remaining property to a high-quality 18-hole championship golf course. It is our hope and expectation that the golf course will reopen in late November or early December 2023as The Golf Club at Longwood. While the golf course is under renovation, we will simultaneously be upgrading the clubhouse to include an outside patio bar & grill and a state-of-the-art Teaching Center. Upon completion, our goal is that Longwood Golf Course will become one of the highest caliber championship level golf facilities in Greater Houston.
